RE/MAX loves to support our beautiful community, non-profits, and organizations in a variety of ways.
Spending time enriching your community is a great way to broaden your perceptions of the world. By immersing yourself in a community and surrounding yourself with people who are dedicated to bettering the world, you can learn so much about how the world works. You gain a unique sense of purpose by serving those around you, one which often manifests in other areas of your life. Of course, it’s also important for your community! Here are some of the ways REMAX of Hot Springs Village has supported our community during the month of July.
Cedar Mountain Boys and Girls Club – Sponsored beverages for the Boys and Girls Club Car Show and distributed our quarterly payroll and commission donation. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Saline County website states: “BGCA has implemented the programmatic strategy Every Member, Every Year, designed so that all clubs, no matter their size or resources, can partner with youth, parents, schools, and other community stakeholders to implement at least 1 of 3 approaches: academic enrichment and school engagement; targeted dropout prevention; and intensive intervention and case management. Our aim is to ensure that all club members graduate from high school on time, ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st-century career.”
Habitat for Humanity – Doughnut sponsor for the Habitat for Humanity upcoming build job. About the organization: “Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.”
Jessieville School District – Sponsorship of the Jessieville Yearbook. The Jessieville Yearbook, The Lion, covers pre-k through senior year and the adults on campus. As a community resource, it also serves as a historical record by recording the people involved in the school, the records of the various athletic teams, members of the numerous clubs, and the trends that take place during the years. The Lion is produced by Journalism 1 – 4 students and is funded entirely through advertising, photo, and subscription sales.
Junior Golf League – Provided additional water to the Junior Golf League. RE/MAX of Hot Springs Village proudly supports the Junior League Golf which provides youngsters with the right start to a great game—a game that lasts a lifetime. This volunteer-run program teaches the basics of golf including rules, etiquette, proper attire, and playing fundamentals.
Village Concert Association – Presenting sponsorship supporting the music community. From the website: “The Village Concert Association is a not-for-profit, all volunteer organization that has brought quality and affordable live entertainment to Hot Springs Village since 1991. For the past 30 years, the VCA has presented nearly 150 original and tribute acts representing a wide variety of popular performances.”
Volunteering time to support a cause you are passionate about is something you will never regret. It will enrich your life, familiarize you with your community, and connect you to people and ideas that will positively impact your perspective for the rest of your life. Helping your community is an opportunity for you to grow as a person to better understand how you fit into the world around you. REMAX of Hot Springs Village strives for continuous support and volunteerism within our community. Giving back to the place we call home helps to unite the community and bridge some of the social, economic, and political gaps.
