It takes everyone, working together, to create environments and communities within which children, youth, and families can flourish. Responsibility must be shared among professionals and non-professionals, among community members and non-community members, across disciplines, and among all entities. REMAX of Hot Springs Village believes in doing our best to support our community no matter where it is needed. Here are our August efforts:

Arkansas Heritage Festival  – Main stage sponsor for the Arkansas Heritage Festival. Arkansas Heritage Festival booth sponsor for the HSV Community Foundation. The Arkansas Heritage Festival was a FREE 2-day event held at the Ponce DeLeon Center in Hot Springs Village and featured all things Arkansas.

Cedar Mountain Boys and Girls Club – Served ice cream to the attendees of the Boys and Girls Club and sponsored an ice cream booth for the Boys and Girls Club Golf Show.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Saline County website states: “BGCA has implemented the programmatic strategy Every Member, Every Year, designed so that all clubs, no matter their size or resources, can partner with youth, parents, schools, and other community stakeholders to implement at least 1 of 3 approaches: academic enrichment and school engagement; targeted dropout prevention; and intensive intervention and case management. Our aim is to ensure that all club members graduate from high school on time, ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st-century career.”

DFW Golf Show – Had a booth at the Dallas Golf Show. The DFW Golf Show is a premier golf show in Texas related to the consumer golf industry. This regional event was held on August 6, 2021, in Dallas, Texas, and organized by Varsity Golf Shows.

Knights of Columbus – Sponsored the Knights of Columbus Golf tournament. This year marked the 13th year for the St. John’s Charity Golf Tournament. Even though it was a very hot day, there was an extremely large turnout of 120 players from all around the Central Arkansas area.

HSV Lady Duffer Golf League – Sponsored the Lady Duffers Golf tournament.

Joan Lyngen, along with some of her friends, founded the Lady Duffers Golf League in 1974. Today, they have over 100 members and play nine holes of golf every Wednesday morning, April through October, at Coronado Golf Course.

POA Golf – Sponsored Golf Cart Keys on two POA golf courses. The Property Owners’ Association golf courses are open seven days a week. Courses are closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

United Way – We were the beverage provider for the United Way Golf Tournament. United Way of the Ouachitas is the bridge that connects the business community to the non-profit world of social services, governmental bodies, and educational institutions. Their outreach throughout the community engages all individuals willing to pitch in and help improve lives and build a better community.

The Village Chorale – Organized the Village Chorale Kickoff Dinner. The Village Chorale recently held its annual fall season kickoff dinner at Faith Lutheran Church in Hot Springs Village. The event is held each year to welcome members back after the summer break and to introduce the plans for the Christmas Concert.

Village SCAT – Provided sponsorship for Village SCAT. Village SCAT provides affordable transportation ($4.00 one way) for area residents within the Village or near the East and West Gates. Transportation is wheelchair accessible and managed and operated by volunteers.

At REMAX we support the community we care about. We encourage you to make a difference by becoming part of this passionate community by getting involved and showing your support where you can.
